By now, you've probably heard about FIAT coming back to the U.S. - or at least, Schaumburg used FIAT 500 shoppers have heard the news. Although some of us simply aren't familiar with the subcompact that's bringing a bit of Italian flair to Chicago FIAT dealerships, sales team members are very excited for a special edition FIAT 500 to arrive.  

Even if you're not a "fashionista" you have probably heard of the brand name Gucci one way or the other. If not, then do some research before laying your eyes on the 2012 FIAT 500 Gucci Edition, and also the 2012 FIAT 500 convertible Gucci Edition as well. Schaumburg used FIAT 500 fans will surely be curious yet excited about the special edition minicar, and can actually get their hands on it right now.

The "FIAT by Gucci" editions were first unveiled during New York Fashion Week back in September, and received the approval of spectators and officials alike. Gucci Creative Director Frida Giannini graciously provided her personal touches and Gucci details to ensure both 500 models were going to be head-turners - by the looks of it, I'd say mission accomplished.

Laura Soave, head of the FIAT brand in North America, expresses her excitement and optimism for the collaboration: "The Gucci Editions will appeal to North American customers who appreciate Italian style just as much as modern technology, value and fuel efficiency."

Personally, I'm not necessarily searching for a minicar- or subcompact-type model, but the designers at Gucci and FIAT have definitely caught my attention. The models will feature glossy pearl paint, green and red stripes on the body or roof, and satin-chrome mirrors and door handles. When it comes to the interior, drivers and passengers will love the special embroidery, two-tone seats, and leather accents, among other design details.

But what is a Gucci Edition without the Gucci collection? Consumers browsing new and used FIAT dealerships can opt for travel accessories, track suits, driver's gloves, sunglasses, a watch and other Gucci products. What better way to show off your special edition set of wheels than to sport Gucci accessories wherever possible?
